A Study on Food Aid Leakage in Bangladesh

When Akhter U Ahmed of IFPRI contacted me to participate in the study and wanted me to do something on which very little existed from past literature, I took the challenge. The study looks into three segments in the foodgrain arrival, storage, transportation and distribution system; and I dealt with leakages during unloading and transshipment to silos. My childhood friend, Khaliquzzaman, a Master Mariner, joined me; and both of shared overnight stays at outer-anchorage. Chapter 2 in the report and all discussion related to the specific segment may be credited to the two of us.
